1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how Quick Call Locksmiths (“we,” “us,” “our”) collects, uses, shares and protects information about you when you call us, text us, email us, use our website at qclocksmiths.com, or receive locksmith services from us.

By using our website or our services, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the website or submit information to us.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Contact details. Your name, mobile or landline phone number, and email address.
- Service details. The service address or vehicle location, the type of lock, door or vehicle involved, and any details you share about the job.
- Verification details. At the job site our technician visually checks photo identification and proof that you own or lawfully occupy the property or vehicle. We record only that the check was performed and the type of document shown; we do not retain copies of your identification documents.
- Consent records. If you opt in to text messages, we record the fact of your consent, the date and time, and the method by which it was given.
- Communications. The content of calls, text messages, emails and web form submissions you send to us. Calls to our dispatch line may be recorded or transcribed for quality, training and job-record purposes; where recording applies, you will be notified at the start of the call.
Information collected automatically
- Device and usage data. IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, referring page and timestamps, collected through standard server logs and website analytics.
- Cookies. Small files used to keep the website working correctly and to understand aggregate traffic. See Cookies and analytics below.
We do not knowingly collect payment card numbers through this website. Payment for locksmith work is taken at the job site or through a payment processor, and card data is handled by that processor, not stored by us.
3. How we use your information
- To answer your call, message or web request and dispatch a technician to you.
- To prepare and send estimates, confirm appointments, provide arrival updates, and issue receipts and invoices.
- To verify ownership or lawful occupancy before opening a property or vehicle. This is a safety and anti-theft requirement of the locksmith trade.
- To provide customer support, handle warranty questions, complaints and follow-up.
- To keep records of the work performed, as required for our insurance, bonding and business obligations.
- To maintain and secure our website and protect against fraud, abuse and unlawful activity.
- To comply with applicable law, and to respond to lawful requests from courts, regulators or law enforcement.
We do not use your information for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects, and we do not sell your personal information.
4. Text messaging and mobile information
This section explains, specifically, how we handle mobile phone numbers and SMS consent. It applies in addition to our SMS Terms & Conditions.
How we obtain consent
We send text messages only to people who have given us express consent to be texted. Consent may be given in any of these ways:
- By ticking the optional SMS consent checkbox on either website form. You can use the “Request a call back” form on our home page or the service request form on our Contact page. The checkbox is never pre-ticked, and submitting the form does not require it.
- By giving verbal consent to a dispatcher during a phone call with us, which the dispatcher records against your job.
- By sending a text message to our business number first, which we treat as consent to reply to you about that inquiry.
Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services from us. You can decline text messages and still receive full service by phone and email.
What we send
Appointment confirmations, technician dispatch and estimated-arrival updates, written price estimates, job-completion and receipt messages, service follow-up, and replies to messages you send us. Message frequency varies by job and is typically 2 to 6 messages per service request. Message and data rates may apply.
How to stop
Reply STOP to any message from us to opt out at any time. We will send one final message confirming that you have been unsubscribed, and no further messages will be sent to that number unless you opt in again. Reply HELP to any message, or call us on (629) 262-9768, for help.
How mobile information is shared
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
All categories of information sharing described in this policy exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. We do not sell, rent, lease or trade mobile phone numbers or SMS consent to anyone, including lead generators, data brokers, marketing partners or affiliates, under any circumstances.
The only parties that handle your mobile number in connection with our messaging are the licensed telecommunications providers that deliver the messages on our behalf, strictly for the purpose of transmitting the messages you consented to receive, and under contractual confidentiality obligations. They are prohibited from using your number for their own marketing.
5. When we share information, and when we never do
We share personal information only in the limited circumstances below, and only to the extent needed.
- Our technicians. The technician assigned to your job receives your name, contact number, service address and job details so they can reach you and do the work.
- Service providers. Telephone and messaging providers, email providers, website hosting, payment processors and bookkeeping services, each acting on our instructions under confidentiality obligations.
- Insurers and professional advisers, where necessary to handle a claim, a dispute or a legal or accounting obligation.
- Legal requirement. Where we are required to do so by law, subpoena, court order or a valid request from law enforcement, or to protect the rights, property or safety of any person.
- Business transfer. If our business is sold or merged, information may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.
We never sell your personal information. We never share mobile information, text messaging originator opt-in data or SMS consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
6. Cookies and website analytics
Our website uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for the site to function and, where enabled, basic analytics to understand aggregate traffic patterns, for example how many people visited a page and which page they arrived from. We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles of you, and we do not run third-party advertising trackers on this site.
Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking cookies will not prevent you from calling us, texting us or requesting service.
7. How long we keep information
We keep job records, estimates, invoices and related communications for as long as needed to provide the service, handle warranty and dispute questions, and satisfy our tax, accounting, insurance and legal obligations, generally several years. SMS consent and opt-out records are kept for as long as we operate our messaging program, because we are required to be able to demonstrate that consent was given and that opt-outs were honored. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or render it anonymous.
8. How we protect information
We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, including access controls limiting job data to the dispatchers and technicians who need it, encrypted transport (HTTPS) on this website, and confidentiality obligations on staff and contractors. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security; we do commit to notifying affected individuals as required by law in the event of a breach affecting their personal information.
9. Your choices and your rights
- Stop text messages. Reply STOP to any message, or call us.
- Stop marketing email. Use the unsubscribe link in any such email, or contact us.
- Access, correct or delete. Ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We may need to keep certain records where the law or a legitimate business obligation requires it.
- Opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under United States state privacy laws, so there is nothing to opt out of, but you may still contact us to confirm this.
To exercise any of these, email support@qclocksmiths.com or call (629) 262-9768. We will verify your identity before acting on a request, and we will not discriminate against you for making one.
10. Children's privacy
Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and our text messaging program requires that you be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, and the authorized subscriber or customary user of the mobile number you provide. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Links to other websites
Our website may link to third-party sites, such as a mapping service or a payment processor. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, and this policy does not apply to them. Read their policies before providing information.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent version. Material changes affecting how we use your information will be posted here, and where required by law we will notify you directly. Continuing to use our website or services after a change takes effect means you accept the updated policy.
